Wide receiver Jabari Carr is one of the biggest highlights of a 2010 recruiting class full of highlights. The local star has will now play in front of friends and family. Inside Sparta attended his Signing Day event and brings you these photos.

Jabari Carr took the long route to get to San Jose State, but he and his parents, among a host of family and friends, saw the end of one journey and the beginning of another as Carr signed his Letter of Intent to attend San Jose State today at Oak Grove High School in San Jose. Among those in attendance was current athletic director and former coach Ed Buller, who introduced Carr and said a few words prior to the signing.

"We're all excited about this, I was on the phone this morning with the San Jose coaching staff and they are ecstatic," Buller said. "They know they are getting an outstanding athlete and student in Jabari."

Surrounded by his parents, Anthony and April, Jabari put his signature on the LOI before handing it off to each parent to add their signatures - first mom April, then Dad Anthony.

"We are just so happy for Jabari," Anthony Carr said. "He's worked so hard to get to this point and we're so happy he's staying close to home."
