QB Cody Fajardo Makes His Choice

Quarterback Cody Fajardo of Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif., has decided on his college destination. After a local newspaper report quoting his coach, Fajardo confirmed with Inside Sparta that he will sign with Nevada.

It came down to three schools for quarterback Cody Fajardo of Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif. After leading the Friars to the CIF Division II State Championships, his recruiting took off. He ended it today by announcing he will sign with Nevada on Feb. 3.

"Yes, that is correct, I will sign with Nevada," Fajardo told Inside Sparta. I really like Coach Ault and the pistol offense. I think it suits me best."

Having a mentor such as senior quarterback Colin Kaepernick was also a draw.

"I also get to learn from a senior quarterback before I get my opportunity," Fajardo said.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Fajardo chose Nevada over San Jose State and UNLV.
