The Boise offense jacked up 434 total yards and San Jose State (3-5, 2-3) had only 198 yards of total offense. The Broncos were up 35-7 in the third quarter, and the fourth was halted temporarily as Justin Willis, was taken off the field via a stretcher after assisting in a tackle. The fans and Bronco staff stood and clapped as Willis was loaded into an ambulance, and taken to a Boise hospital.

BOISE, Idaho - The Broncos' went onto their seventh straight win at the expense of an SJSU team lacking a kicking and running game.

The only field goal attempted was blocked either because of poor offensive line play, or a poor kick.

Either way it was blocked, and the kicking woes continue to haunt the Spartans at any attempt to stay in close games.

The option pitch, and risky quarterback run plays are now the "norm", but what is Coach Tomey to do?

The Boise offense jacked up 434 total yards and the defense allowed San Jose State (3-5, 2-3) a lack luster 198 yards of total offense.

"That's been the story of our year," Coach Dick Tomey said. "Different things rear their ugly head and we're not productive enough" to recover.

"It's been a struggle for us. We need to keep fighting."

The Spartans secondary was shredded by Boise State, and by the mid second quarter the game was already heading out of reach.

The Broncos were up 35-7 midway through the third quarter, but the loss was over shadowed as SJSU's Justin Willis, was taken off the field via a stretcher and ambulance after assisting in a tackle.

According to official reports, a CT scan was performed, which revealed no fracture to the cervical spine.

An MRI exam also revealed no major injuries, and Willis was diagnosed with a stinger to the neck area.

Willis remained in the hospital overnight in a Boise facility, as he was unable to obtain a flight back to San Jose that night.

San Jose State had just 98 yards rushing was just 2-of-11 on third down conversions.

Trafalis was 11-of-19 for 77 yards before being replaced in the fourth quarter by Jordan LaSecla.

"If you don't have a passion to win and really believe you can do it, then you can't", quarterback Adam Tafralis said. "Somewhere along the way I think we lost it, and we have to find it." The "red zone" woes continue for SJSU, and it was a flashback to the Fresno debacle were the Spartans failed to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

"It was San Jose State not executing - again," Tafralis said. "We don't do what we're coached to do.

"They are a beatable team. They are a very together team, and I give it to them because every year they come out and win. They do what they are supposed to do when they are supposed to do it. That's why they win and that's why we're struggling."

The Spartan defense came out like a hard hitting machine, as it laid plenty of ferocious licks that had the Boise crowd moaning with "ooooh's" and "aaaah's".

It simply was not enough "again".

"We can't lose our desire to finish the season strong," Tomey said. "We've had a tough stretch here, but I thought today we were really ready to play a great game. The first half, until the last minute, we showed that. We just didn't make enough plays."
