A blog report is stating that George Nessman is out as San Jose State basketball coach. The Spartans are 9-16 on the season, and have been in a slump since the suspension of top scorer James McKinney, losing 10 games in a row.

According to Parsing the WAC San Jose State athletic director Gene Bleimeyer has made a change in the basketball program.

"San Jose State Athletic Director Gene Bleimeyer has dismissed Coach George Nessman and his staff, effective immediately," According to Kevin McCarthy of PTW.

No details have been released by the SJSU athletic department, and no replacement has yet surfaced.

**UPDATE*** Sources have stated that the coaching staff will finish the season.
