Hoek Blog for Jan. 18 - A Decommitment

Exactly two weeks from National Letter of Intent Signing day, one of San Jose States most prized targets has decided to reopen his recruiting. ***UPDATED***

Verbal commitments aren't binding, and it is not unusual to see players who have given an oral commitment to schools decide they want to look around some more. Quarterback Tyler Stewart of Sierra Canyon high school has decided to decommit from San Jose State and will be taking visits.

"Yes it is," Stewart said when asked if he had decommitted from San Jose State. "I have offers now from Hawaii, Colorado State, Fresno State, and Nevada."

You can check this Hoek Blog for Jan. 18 to see if he could still sign with SJSU on Fab. 1.
