Tago Makes it San Jose State

There were strong rumblings that QB/LB Christian Tago of Highland High School in Palmdale, Calif., had pledged to San Jose State last week. Inside Sparta spoke recently with Tago, who wasn't ready to make his pledge public. That has now changed.

Inside Sparta spoke recently with Christian Tago of Highland High School in Palmdale, Calif. He said San Jose State was his top school but wasn't quite ready to announce a commitment. Today, his father notified Scout.com that his son is now a Spartan.

"Christian committed to SJSU as a QB with the option to play Inside-backer," John Tago said.

The The 6-foot-0, 219-pound Tago picked the Spartans over San Diego State, UC Davis, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Tago, a three-star prospect, becomes the fourth SJSU commit for the 2012 recruiting class.
